As Republicans from across Idaho prepare for the party's state convention in Nampa, Idaho, 1st District U.S. Representative Raúl Labrador has introduced his 2016 re-election team, including campaign staff, campaign finance co-chairs, and grassroots director.

The campaign team, which has been working together since January, helped Labrador receive 81% of the vote, the largest margin of victory for a Republican in Idaho in a contested race.

The Raúl Labrador for Idaho campaign team will be headed by senior political advisor China Gum and field coordinator Daniel Tellez.  China Gum has managed several legislative and statewide races in Idaho, including Representative Labrador’s successful 2012 re-election campaign.  Gum has been a political advisor to the Congressman since he was first elected to Congress in 2010.  Daniel Tellez, who will coordinate all field activities, has worked on several legislative races in Idaho and most recently served as Digital and Communications Director for the Idaho Republican Party.

The campaign team includes political strategists Michael Clingaman and Anthony Bonna from the Stoneridge Group who will oversee online engagement, messaging and digital strategy, direct mail, and voter contact; Brock Lowrance and Jon Downs from FP1 Strategies who specialize in messaging and political advertising; and Glen Bolger and Robert Blizzard from Public Opinion Strategies, one of the Republican Party’s leading political strategy and polling firms. Among the pollsters clients is Senator Mike Crapo, R-Idaho.

"Representing the people of the 1st Congressional District is a tremendous honor and I do not take their support for granted," said Labrador. "As their elected representative, I have a responsibility to tell the people of Idaho what I am doing to represent them and why I am asking for their vote.  As I prepare for the future, I'm excited that we've put together one of the best political teams in Idaho and I'm looking forward to sharing my vision for a stronger Idaho and a more prosperous nation."

The Raúl Labrador for Idaho campaign also announced that Vicki and Lamont Keen and Milford Terrell will serve as the Finance Committee Co-Chairs and will help lead the fundraising efforts for the campaign.

Finally, the Raúl Labrador for Idaho campaign has organized a grassroots and coalition leadership team in all 19 counties in the 1st District led by Norm Semanko.  Semanko is a former Chairman of the Idaho Republican Party.  As state director for the Ted Cruz for President campaign, Semanko developed an extensive grassroots operation that led Senator Cruz to a decisive victory in Idaho’s 2016 presidential primary.
